Grumichama
Originating in Southern Brazil, the Grumichama is an attractive, heavy bearing, frost hardy evergreen bearing delicious fruit that are purple to black in color with a sweet cherry-like flavour.
The tree will often bear 2 - 3 crops throughout summer in warm climates with the biggest crop maturing in October - December.
Delicious eaten straight from the tree, pick when berries are full sized and dark purple/black. They can also be used in jams, jellies, desserts, pies or liquors.
