Kiwifruit

Kiwifruit (also known the as Chinese Gooseberry) is a deciduous vine which can be easily grown on a purpose built trellis, fence or pergola. 

Birdwood stock the male cultivars M56 and Matua and the female cultivar Hayward.  Separate male and female vines are required though we recommend planting within 10 metres of each other for best pollination and fruiting. 

The fruit has a furry, fibrous brown-green skin with bright green flesh and edible seeds.  The fruit is soft textured and unique tasting, high in Vitamin C, Potassium and Vitamin E and a great source of antioxidants.
