Tropical Nectarine

Birdwood Nursery stock the delicious Tropical Nectarine cultivars Sunwright (yellow flesh) and White Saturn (white flesh).

This self-pollinating tree is ideally suited to a subtropical climate from Bundaberg south through to Carnarvon in Western Australia.

Nectarines are available from September to April but peak in January and February. Fruit are at their best when they are fragrant, firm, plump and richly coloured with smooth, glossy skin.

Nutritionally Nectarines are similar to peaches. Both white and yellow-fleshed varieties are good sources of Vitamin C and dietary fibre and have some Vitamin E and potassium.
