Persimmon

The sweet Jiro Dwarf Persimmon is ideal for the home gardener.  This large, sweet fruited plant is seedless, self fertile and easy to prune. 

It loves full sun in the summer and is suitable for Australia's coastal climates from Queensland to NSW to Victoria, SA and WA.

In terms of nutitional benefits, Persimmons are not only high in fibre but are an excellent source of vitamin A. This brightly colored orange fruit contains no fat and may be enjoyed crisp and crunchy when only half coloured or soft and juicy when it is fully mature.
